How every number on this site is built. Each one shows its source and its "as of" time.
What's included
Listed companies whose main business is launch, satellites, space hardware or space services, in six segments. Companies with space divisions are listed separately and never enter pure-play or segment totals. Private companies are added when they list.
Market cap
Price × all shares outstanding (every class, every listing, counted once). Classes trading at different prices are each counted at their own price; an unlisted class that converts into a listed one takes its price. Depositary receipts are priced per underlying share. Totals add up companies, not listings.
Prices
Databento US Equities Mini, from the company's US listing: the live last sale while US exchanges are open (labelled "delayed" if the live feed is interrupted), then the session's last sale after the close. A last sale across venues, not the official closing auction. Companies with no US exchange listing show no computed value and sit under International.
Currency
US dollars by default, with a CAD toggle. Converted at the Bank of Canada rate for the same date; on a day the Bank publishes none, its most recent earlier rate (up to 7 days old), with that date shown.

Spot an error? Email hello@spacevalued.com. Fixes are made and noted on /corrections within one business day.
Also
- An update is held for review when a share count moves more than 10% or a price more than 40% in a day; a price older than 3 trading days is marked stale.
- Every list, total and chart has an "Exclude SpaceX" switch. Segment totals start without SpaceX and say so.
- EchoStar holds SpaceX shares, so its value overlaps SpaceX's. No total is adjusted for it.
- Russian listings are excluded; the Moscow Exchange has been under US sanctions since June 2024.
